Service Description

In spiritual direction, a trained or experienced companion uses deep listening to encourage the spiritual story of the other to unfold. Through this relationship, the directee is empowered to explore a deeper experience of God and, at the same time, enjoy a deeper experience of their own lives. Sessions are about an hour and scheduled every 4-6 weeks. They often involve lighting a candle at the beginning of a session, as well as moments of silence. Spiritual direction fosters personal spiritual growth and social transformation through love and the practice of compassion, and can be a good complement to therapy, recovery or other personal healing modalities.
